House Speaker Paul Ryan is not having a good morning as Donald Trump’s “grab them by the pussy” debacle, where the Republican presidential nominee got caught on tape bragging about sexual assault, continues. But Trump is having ... fun?
The tiny, tiny shackles that were keeping his stubby fingers from his phone. Which apparently means it's going to get worse.
Quick, someone take his phone away, someone. Oh, too late.
That follows yesterday's opening tweeting salvo: "Paul Ryan should spend more time on balancing the budget, jobs and illegal immigration and not waste his time on fighting Republican nominee."
Yep, it's war.
Can you chip in $3 to help Hillary Clinton keep Donald Trump out of the White House?
Are you a member of MoveOn? No matter where you live, help defeat Donald Trump and take back the Senate by texting MoveOn members in swing states to knock on doors where they live.
And Ryan pretty much stands alone as Trump campaign goes all in against him. He's getting no help from Republican National Committee chair Reince Priebus, who told the committee in a conference call Monday that the RNC is standing by their man. And Mitch McConnell? Fat chance he'll help. He won't even utter Trump's name in the midst of this debacle.
Now Ryan is supposedly weighing his still-intact endorsement of Trump, "torn between his personal feelings about the tape showing Donald Trump discussing grabbing women by the genitals and his desire to preserve the historic GOP majority in the House of Representatives." Yes, Mr. Family Man is really agonizing over this one.
Ah, for the old days of unity, back when Ryan was manipulating the rules at the convention to squash a rebellion of Never Trump state delegations. Oops.
