CNN’s Chief Political Correspondent Dana Bash was on with hollow bearded shell Wolf Blitzer earlier today, discussing Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump, and the upcoming debates and how those debates may unfold. Wolf Blitzer first asked some other person with a face about the upcoming debates and they said that the debates would be an exercise in trying to make the election “a referendum on the other guy.” This is a made-up buzzphrase that uses the word “referendum” to sound like you are intelligently discussing politics by offering zero insight. The burnt-out case that is called Wolf Blitzer then threw to Dana Bash with a “You agree, Dana?”
Oh, absolutely. Absolutely. But I do think that the stakes are much higher in this debate and all the debates for Hillary Clinton because the expectations are higher for her because she is a seasoned politician, she is a seasoned debater. Yes, we saw Donald Trump in the primaries debate for the first time, but he is a first-time politician. So for lots of reasons, maybe it's not fair but it's the way it is, the onus is on her.
No, it’s not “unfair.” It’s idiotic. The expectations are only higher for Hillary Clinton in that she is clearly an intelligent person who could actually be not only a competent president, but an extraordinary one. This is a person running for the president of the United States of America, not a t-ball game between 3 and 10-year-olds. Donald Trump is the nominee of the Republican Party. Some people on the right call it “the Party of Abraham Lincoln.” Abraham fucking Lincoln! If your expectations of Mr. Trump are low, then it says something about you. Just you.
Yes, Wolf, the 10-year-olds are expected to perform better than the 3-year-olds because … the 3-year-olds are 3 years old.
