I would like to take you on a walk through what Scott Pruitt enabled in Oklahoma. Oklahoma’s Attorney General who instead of putting our residents first spent his time suing the EPA. It is well known he has his hands in the pockets of big oil and gas companies in this state, as do many in our state government. He is now Trump’s pick for the head of the EPA. I want you to know what his influence has brought about here as fair warning for all.
Welcome to my world. For the last four years my home has had water pipes broken, windows broken, multiple cracks in my foundation, windows and door no longer plumb, rafters in the roof buckled, cracks from the foundation up through the walls. I have been told it is no longer safe to live in. I did not have earthquake insurance. Those neighbors who did, received a response from their insurance companies, denying their clams due to historical ground shifting. What is an earthquake short of historical ground shifting. What did Scott Pruitt do to help all those residents in this state to help, nothing.
The horror does not end here from the pollution and oil spills on our rivers to the deaths of wild life. Then there is the loss of water wells due to drilling operations and multiple pipeline leaks on our land. One friend asked me what do I do? My mother’s well has oil sludge floating on it, how do I have it tested? By the way she was diagnosed with stomach cancer today. The EPA and Department of Environmental Quality in Oklahoma do not step in here to help as our state has set up it’s own department to handle this. Who sits at the head of this three member department? The gas and oil companies shills.
I have went with all types of media to show them what is taking place here. I think one of the most disturbing was a group with a FLIR camera which showed over half of the oil wells in my area are leaking gases. During another media outing we visited a well 50 ft from a neighbors fence that is leaking. I noticed he had for sale signs in his yard. He was ill with respiratory problems and unable to work. They asked if he would get on camera. He said no as he was afraid of the oil companies and might not be able to sell his property. My neighbors have been intimidated and harassed by oil and gas companies. This is my promise to you if this man is made head of the EPA. Below is a video that will be showing in other states I am part of. You see this man did nothing to help those suffering from the damage to his state residents.
Please help those of us in Oklahoma and this country and call your representative in Washington DC! Ask them to not approve this man for the head of the EPA. I no longer have a safe place to live and tomorrow it may be you.
