My friends, here is something REAL for you all. Long ago, shortly after the election, I put on my calendar a note to file a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) inquiry about certain bits of data. Anyone can do it, and I wanted to do a comparison for long-term tracking of data points.
The FOIA website for the the Office of Science and technology is down. It instead links to a transition splash page. In other words, you can't make a request online right now.
The FOIA website for Housing and Urban Development is full of broken links, including their request expediting page.
There are others that are up and working fine, like Trade Representative and Veterans Affairs, but on several including the three mentioned above, right now, you cannot make a FOIA request.
They were working a week ago.
Somebody with much more investigative ability than I have needs to look into this. Because it might be nothing, but it also might be scrubbing data that used to be there. Because this looks a lot like fascism to me.
