..that is the word used in the title of this video segment discussing the numerous motivations for the Trump regime to fire U.S. attorney Preet Bharara. Shocking.
At first I thought; no, nothing about this administration is shocking anymore..or maybe everything about this administration is, and has been non-stop, so what’s one more thing ? It’s how the various elements of corruption are connecting up and taking shape. An awful shape yes, but one blanketed by deceit that is is now unraveling

Joy Reid and her panel discuss the political implications, and the implications for justice, of the sudden firing of former U.S. attorney Preet Bharara after he refused to resign.
In this intriguing segment, Joy Ann Reid is joined by Joan Walsh, Ari Melber, E.J. Dionne, and Yashar Ali, with clips of the past, to discuss the ramifications, motivations, and possible fallout from the sudden firing of U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara. The emoluments clause violations investigation is only one part of the numerous issues, all different yet linked together by an emerging pattern of corruption
The only thing I’ll be adding beyond a few words is a couple of screen shots of the letter sent to Preet Bharara’s office by ethics watchdogs days before his abrupt termination.
No one disputes that with a new administration often comes many new appointments, yet as It turns out, after having been asked to remain in his position by the current administration, Preet Mharara, known in some circles as “the Sheriff of Wall Street” was suddenly asked to resign. He refused and was subsequently fired.
One of the interesting aspects to Bharara’s abrupt dismissal was the timing of the Ethics watchdogs letter (pdf). It was sent just days before Attorney Bharara’s firing. The Trump Hotel is within the jurisdiction of New York’s Southern district; Attorney Preet Bharara’s territory.
The Ethics watchdogs — Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington & the CLC — were requesting of Bharara to investigate Trumps apparent violations of the emoluments clause of the US Constitution.
The investigation enjoined by ethics watchdogs for various emoluments clause violations is only about 1/5 of the topics covered in this video segment. A whole lot of ground is covered on a range of issues. All connecting in interesting, sometimes surprising ways. For those reasons, the rest of the discussion is much better coming from the experts on the panel.
Hope this discussion is as interesting and informative as I found it to be
.
— Kudos Joy Ann Reid — and all of her guests — also too, how Joy Ann Reid somehow manages to raise the level of discussion in any panel she is either on or hosts — imo
