We all say we feel overwhelmed. No one has ever said they feel whelmed to me. Currently, I’m whelmed (as in the second definition.)
whelm (h) welm/
past tense: whelmed; past participle: whelmed
1. engulf, submerge, or bury (someone or something).
"a swimmer whelmed in a raging storm"
2. flow or heap up abundantly.
"the brook whelmed up from its source"
It’s spring. This year I’m really feeling wood element qi. It’s good when you feel gracious gratitude for all of it. Wood qi is growth and for some reason, I feel it strong this year. It also means my time is filled up with all the stuff I’m doing. Outdoors is the best. Soon it’s hiking, biking and swimming in the Feather River. I love summers here. And the coast is only three+ hours away (Mendocino, Fort Bragg, Bodega Bay, Stinson Beach. Tomales Bay) as is the Bay Area.

Random things I’ve come across that caught my intention recently (the simpleness of the annals of my mind) include:
Here’s something that caught my attention. I took three weeks of doxycycline when I was bitten by a tick that gave me a Lyme bite. I’m fortunate it was obvious, being on my shoulder in plain site. After four days of watching the creeping ink-blot-rash, it was time to stop it from becoming chronic. Now, they are using doxycycline for PTSD. The results are something, but the way they went about creating the conditioned response made me wince. Well, conditioned response is built upon consequences after all. Still, if it’s that effective for PTSD as much as they claim, it’s probably worth it.
A common antibiotic called doxycycline can disrupt the formation of negative thoughts and fears in the brain and may prove useful in treating or preventing post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), according to research by British and Swiss scientists.
"We have demonstrated a proof-of-principle for an entirely new treatment strategy for PTSD," said Dominik Bach, a professor at University College London and the University of Zurich, who co-led the research team.

Another thing that is so awesome is the newest pics of Jupiter from the spacecraft Juno. Looking at them, you just know that’s where cid came from.
This guy already knew
Saturn, as seen from spacecraft Cassini, is mind-blowing too. And there are the inner planets from Saturn sans Jupiter and Mercury that show up as well, if you know what you’re looking at.
Might have seen this, but it cracks me up. Maybe it reminds me of Randall :)
