The Daily Beast’s White House reporter Lachlan Markay tweeted this out Thursday evening.
The images report to show an attempt by someone to edit out “Donald Trump” from Joe Lieberman’s Wikipedia page. The passage is still in the page today, and reads as follows:
Following his retirement from the Senate, Lieberman became senior counsel of the white collar criminal defense and investigations practice at Kasowitz, Benson, Torres & Friedman, a law firm in New York City whose notable clients include Donald Trump.[56] In March 2013, it was announced that Lieberman would be joining the conservative American Enterprise Institute think tank as co-chairman of their American Internationalism Project, alongside former Republican Senator Jon Kyl.[57] In February 2014, Lieberman was named as Counselor at the National Bureau of Asian Research.[58] Additionally, he serves as the Lieberman Chair of Public Policy and Public Service at Yeshiva University, where he teaches an undergraduate course in political science.
It’s hard to say this is true as the passage today only has “Donald Trump,” whereas according to both purported images, “Robert DeNiro, Celanese, Arvin Meritor, Liggett Group, Enron, WorldCom, and Mia Farrow” are said to appear. We may never know if this is just a doctored image creating a fake news cycle or something very real that took place over 12 hours ago. But one thing we do know: Joe Lieberman is arguably the single worst thing to ever happen to the 21st century.
