Manafort in spotlight
This brings together some of the things that had come out in the media over the months, and what led to his leaving the campaign has come out after the fact. Meanwhile Trump and anyone talking to the media maintained that there was or had been no communications by anyone related to Trump's campaign with Russia.
We now are assured that this has not been the case, and quite frankly it would appear that Trump has had extensive involvement with money laundering for both US and Russian criminals.
The biggest deal with Manafort here was the direct influence he had on our country’s foreign policies with Russia, and the ramifications of what that means as pertains to Trump, his administration, and the GOP itself are staggering, and I use that overused word in the truest sense.
The GOP had taken a stance on policies surrounding Russia sanctions and their actions interfering with other countries. Manafort was a direct tie to influencing the GOP itself to change it’s platforms in this regard.
Take it a step further as far as aiding and abetting is concerned. It was made painfully clear that Tillerson intended to complete the deal with Russia and Exxon, in spite of the fact that there are valid reasons for economic sanctions. The most serious of which is that these sanctions have virtually broken Russia in regards to having the money for weapons that they would like to spend. Neither Tillerson or Trump seem to care that this change of policies changes Russia’s military strength.
One of the very first actions the GOP took after the inauguration was to repeal the law that requires corporations to disclose any payments to foreign countries for anything. This is the definition of criminal ignorance if the GOP, any member who voted for such an idiotic thing, tries to say they didn’t have any idea that this was written by Tillerson for Exxon so that they could immediately start giving Russia the money they so desperately needed. In fact it doesn’t stretch anyone’s imagination to think that Exxon has done exactly that even though economic sanctions still exist. And what is this BS that restrictions on technology were lifted that would allow US arms manufacturers to sell technology to Russia?
The GOP can only claim ignorance about this complicity with things that aid and abet Russia, a country that has been considered the enemy of America, who as a country has always considered the US to be it’s nemesis if not enemy.
Trump may be seeing the end days, as soon as he does we can expect to see pardons coming down before his presidency is frozen. He’ll just say this is fake news and he wants to spare Kushner, Flynn, Manafort, Guiliani, and others the unnecessary hassle of witch hunts like this.
I’ve been saying this, dems need to get nasty with republicans, accuse them of collusion and aiding and abetting if they don’t aggressively support putting a stop to this administration of slimy pro Russian creatures. The GOP has a prominent role in this when they refused to act on this whole Russian thing months before the election...DRAIN THE SWAMP
