US Attorney just indicted 47 suspects, involved in a massive Fraud Conspiracy. Kudos!
It seems that stealing from the Federal Government — and from needy kids — is no long “kool anymore” in the current Administration. No more turning a blind eye to that cynical graft and corruption, that the former Administration, more or less encouraged.
More such indictments please.

Tuesday, federal officials announced charges against nearly four dozen people in connection to a massive COVID-related fraud scheme that exploited a federally-funded child nutrition program.
U.S. Attorney Andrew Luger said 47 people have been charged in connection to a $250 million scheme connected to Feeding Our Future. Luger called Tuesday’s announcement the “first wave of charges” and noted three of the 47 are expected to plead guilty in the near future.
They face charges ranging from conspiracy, wire fraud, bribery and money laundering.
“This was a brazen scheme of staggering proportions,” Luger said. “These defendants exploited a program designed to provide nutritious food to needy children during the COVID-19 pandemic. Instead, they prioritized their own greed, stealing more than a quarter of a billion dollars in federal funds to purchase luxury cars, houses, jewelry, and coastal resort property abroad. I commend the work of the skilled investigators and prosecutors who unraveled the lies, deception, and mountains of false documentation to bring this complex case to light.”

That is very good to see.
Bodes well for that other complex conspiracy case, they are currently “unraveling,” doesn’t it?
Enough of all the fraud and the law-breaking.
Rational sane societies are built on the rule of law — not the exploitation of it.

Attorney General Garland gave a well-received speech at Ellis Island a few days. Besides exalting the welcoming principles that America once stood for — he laid out these guiding principles going forward, for his Department, and for a nation weary of the lawlessness and cynicism …
Garland, who typically refrains from engaging in politics, did not address either debate [Trump vs the United States], but instead talked about the importance of the rule of law in upholding democracy.
“The rule of law means that the law treats each of us alike,” he said. “There is not one rule for friends, another for foes; one rule for the powerful, another for the powerless; one rule for the rich, another for the poor; or different rules, depending upon one’s race or ethnicity or country of origin.”
[Emphasis added]
Hear, hear.
May these “equal treatment” principles guide the Department of Justice to that reach that place, somewhere near to where that “universal arc” has always been pointing …
Sooner rather than later.
