Clark: Bush Responsible for Sept. 11 Intelligence Failures

Tue Oct 28, 2003 at 12:21:26 PM PDT

well said, general.

i am a dean-head to the end, but i feel nothing but joy when one of the other candidates hits bush where it hurts - his codpiece-protected, "strong on terrorism" balls.

i am not sure anyone else in the race (besides graham) has made such a direct comment about bush's responsibility for 9-11 (not the act itself, but the failure to act). please correct me if i'm wrong...
...in any case, it's a very good sign that a major candidate is attacking bush on one of his percieved strengths: the war on terrorism

if that pillar falls for bush, what's left to hold him up?

comments, flames, and unqualified praise are always welcome...

Although I'm also with Dean, I'm glad to see Clark picking up Graham's 9/11 theme.  He might not get any more traction for it than Graham did, but pinning responsibility for not acting before 9/11, if successful, would be a sure way of creaming Bush in the general.

You have the power to change America. Yes. We. Can.

He'll get more traction off this baby than Graham did... I hope (and I am an undecided.)

...the single worst formulation in the last half century of American foreign policy.

Aw, give George his due, Clark... only half a century? Our democracy is in real danger of completely collapsing in our country, dude!

The most serious threat to democracy is the notion that it has already been achieved.

Why do you think they are trying to withold the intelligence briefing from Aug 6 from the 9/11 commission. They were told of the 9/11 plot and the Saudi involvement and did nothing. Dr. Rice really lied about this one.

    I will vote Green
    Rather than Dean

I have not heard any of the candidates (or indeed any prominent Democrat) say this before.  Somehow it's always been deemed hitting below the belt.  About time someone prominent said this -- my hat's off to Clark.

When we talk about war, we're really talking about peace. George W. Bush
