Iraq's Last Minute Atttempt to end War

I am finding it very odd that there has not been more pick up of yesterday's NYT piece "Iraq Said to Have Tried to Reach Last-Minute Deal to Avert War"

I thought that the ( http://www.nytimes.com/2003/11/06/politics/06INTE.html) article was the best case made to date on why the war was a huge mistake. Anyone have any thoughts why this is not getting more coverage?

  Very sad reading that article, thinking what might have been. NYTimes has a fairly cautious editorial today about it. could reluctance of others to pick it up be part of the same - media too scared to  really see what  a disaster bushco is?

  i.e., because it shows claim of attempting to avert war by negotiation to be pretty empty, and bushco locked into attacking no matter what before the hot weather set in. that's a tough one for some to process
