I must admit, it looks to me that Roy Neel is preparing Howard Dean campaign epitaph.
Today on Dean for American, I noticed two things:
The bat stop collecting.
The voting box that says which states needs to vote TODAY has been pulled too early because TODAY is is suppose to be the day that Feb. 3rd states vote?
WHAT's wrong with this blog picture?
That guy Roy Neel cleaned up Howard Dean.
And Neel made Dean look a lot more responsible and level headed.
AND Neel is also sucking the life out of Howard Dean.
So WHAT is with the BAT? Are we getting ready to throw in the towel here?
Does Roy Neel know anything about politics? Neel certainly does seem to know how to go about digging someones grave.
So I want to offer this:
A little football psychology here as it relates to politics. Something about understanding when to play offense (attack the opposition) and when to play defense (provide protection to yourself), and of course, usually a candidate has to do both, so next time Mr. Russert or someone else ask Howard Dean this question:
MR. RUSSERT: But we have tried to get access to the files, and the attorney general of Vermont, Sorrell, who you know very well, said that, you know, "Howard says the judge is going to release these page by page. That's not what we're doing. We want a summary judgment to keep all the records sealed, period."
Dean should provide quick comments (for his protection-defense) but then THROW the ball right back into MSNBC's Meet the Press and Tim Russert's ball court.
DR. DEAN: That's up to him. We're not involved in this case. Let me just talk a little bit about records and governors. First of all, the majority of my records are unsealed. Secondly, governors in every state, or almost every state, seal their records for a time after they leave office
Good play Dean but now Dean should switch to OFFENSE mode.
As for an example, lets talk a bit about the well know fact regarding the 12 years limit on the Reagan papers, (Neel shouldn't be pulling the rug out from Howard Dean. Roy Neel knows this shit, I know he does but he just isn't telling Howard Dean are maybe Neel sold telecommunications for too LONG.)
On November 1, 2001, President George W. Bush signed his latest effort to govern by secrecy -- Executive Order 13233. For good reason this Order has a lot of historians, journalists, and Congresspersons (both Republican and Democratic) upset.
The Order ends 27 years of Congressional and judicial efforts to make Presidential papers and records publicly available. In issuing the Order, the President has pushed his lawmaking powers beyond their limits.

Continued reading....
So why isn't NSMBC news interested in the investigation of why Bush issued this executive order thereby stifling 27 years of making records public with regards to the Reagan papers?
A sort of a "Hey it's okay for Bush but not okay for anyone else in our corporate own media controlled world" type of offense.
The game of football requires calculated risk and so too does the game of the politics.
You get these little windows of opportunity that politicians rarely ever get back again if the window closes, so a politician needs to stay on top of his game and that goes for campaign managers too.
And another thing, Howard Dean is under attack for wanting to undo Bush's irresponsible tax cuts, the very ones that John Kerry voted for TWICE.... Kerry can't claim that he is anymore fiscal conservative that Bush is either because of this, BUT WHY hasn't DEAN, even once, used the rational that we ARE at WAR RIGHT NOW because, really most citizens want to support their troops.
MR. RUSSERT: You say you're a good manager, a fiscal conservative. How did you blow $40 million?
Indeed has any other candidate demonstrated fiscal conservatism? Certainly not the ones who voted for Bush's irresponsible tax cut.
And Roy Neel is far to lose with Howard Dean's (football) game strategy too, and it plays like a "let the supporters down easy, because you know your going to lose Howard Dean."
So I see this today:
Attorney General Spitzer Endorses John Kerry
Well now I've lost all faith in Eliot Spitzer because for those of us who do stay up with politics, we know that Sen. John Kerry just represents the status quo.
If Sen. John Kerry makes it to President's office, Kerry will start working on his special interest war chest of campaign funds, same as Bush did. It is sure to rivals George W. Bush's 200 million.
It just keeps getting bigger ever presidental election year.
My advise to Howard Dean is to get rid of Al From's good buddy Roy Neel and hire Ralph Nader as your campaign manager, because at least, I know that Ralph Nader will be straight with Howard Dean.
AND of course, we all know what message that would send to DNC. Something about convictions and the need for change even it's the last thing that a once in life time type of politician could do for all many people who believed in Howard Dean.
