Hey all you crazy sushi eating New York Times reading fruitcakes! Perhaps you've recently received a lovely piece of forwarded email that starts:
This was written by a retired admiral and Annapolis graduate. The item offers no direct testimony about Kerry, but it does provide informed background useful in assessing what Kerry seems to have claimed for himself. It confirms information I have received from other sources.
Well here's a nice rebuttal for all that fooferall, courtesy of the Urban Legends Referance Page, snopes.com:

The circulated email claims several things about John Kerry's war record, claiming it was "wildly inflated," and that "something fishy was going on." Snopes, an amazing referance on any sort of urban legend, goes into a debunking frenzy, branding the story FALSE and offering a thorough refutation of the claims therein.
I've always found this site useful for smacking down the latest "Forward this email for a free Dollar!" spam, but I can't wait to respond to my first misguided John Kerry bashing email with this page and a big ol' picture of our Chickenhawk-in-Chief in his Halloween flight suit costume.
