As a Kerry/Edwards contributor and supporter, I was delighted to see the SCLM for the most part offer Ridge a collective shrug and a few almost blase questions about political motivations behind his terror warnings. As a citizen who feels like this administration has been far more successful in making America a target, than it has been in doing anything to make the world a safer, more democratic place to live, I was sickened by Bushco's latest random Fear Booster Shot.
I could rail on and on about The Administration that Cried Wolf, but I'll let Herbert take us right to the point:
If we know that bin Laden and his top leadership are somewhere along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border, and that they're plotting an attack against the United States, why are we not zeroing in on them with overwhelming force? Why is there not a sense of emergency in the land, with the entire country pulling together to stop another Sept. 11 from occurring?
Why are we not more serious about this?
As Richard Clarke points out in that F911 clip, there are more police officers in New York City than American forces in Afghanistan.

- G.W. Bush, repsonding to a question about bin Laden's whereabouts,
