I just got banned from Tacitus after more than two years of steady reading and posting.
For what did I get banned?
Swearing? Advocating the overthrow of the goverment? Overt offensive language or behavior?
Nope...
No, I did none of that...
I stated my opinion based on no uncertain terms, and stated the truth as I saw it. And backed it up with strong evidence.
But the cowards who run that site can't seem to deal with the truth on any level.
The forgery business is a sign of true desperation...and the kneejerk reaction to contrary opinions is further evidence.
They are cracking.
Here is what I posted...
what are BirdDog and Timmy going to do with their time?
After all, now that IBM technicians with multiple years of experience have weighed in
Some insist it would have been nearly impossible for a 1970s-era typewriter to produce the memos because of the letter spacing in the documents and the use of a raised and compact th symbol. But Bill Glennon, a technology consultant in New York City who worked for IBM repairing typewriters from 1973 to 1985, says those experts "are full of crap. They just don't know." Glennon says there were IBM machines capable of producing the spacing, and a customized key -- the likes of which he says were not unusual -- could have created the superscript th.
Couple that with
* the now-overwhelming evidence that the font, spacing, and baselines of the "MSWord" version and the "CBS" version are actually quite different
* with the fact that several memos released by the White House and by the Bush campaign under FOIA have identical superscripting, fonts, and spacings...including some that date back to 1968
* with the fact that several different machines are fully capable of having composed that document (Selectric Composer (two versions), Executive (two versions)
* with the fact that several of the initially contacted experts have reversed or qualified their initial interpretations
* with the fact that the initial comparison of the "MSWord" and the "CBS" versions were done on a computer screen using multiply reproduced scans and pdfs, all scaled down to very small sizes, thus making accurate comparison (already dodgy given the number of generations) nearly impossible, and any conclusions drawn essentially useless.
It comes to this - those documents are genuine.
The folks here, at powerline, at LFG, at Freep...have shown themselves to be fools at best.
And Bush is a deserter who disobeyed direct orders.
And tacitus' response?
