According to the Hill, the decision
has been made:
The ethics complaint against Majority Leader Tom DeLay (R-Texas) about improper fundraising is likely going to be dismissed by the House ethics committee, according to a source familiar with the panel's internal discussions.
The panel's chairman and ranking member yesterday denied that any decision had been made, but the well-placed source said the outcome is no longer in doubt; what remains is for at least some of the panel's five Democrats to agree formally.
And what's worse, it looks like the Ethics Committee's ranking Democrat, Alan Mollohan of West Virginia, is complicit in this travesty.
It is understood, however, that the committee is moving toward dismissing he complaint but that Mollohan needs more time to rally his fellow Democrats to line up behind an outcome favorable to DeLay.
