So.. i'm in front of the tv.. and a commercial comes on for
www.consumerfreedom.com. It's got soup nazi guy in it from Sienfeld and i'm checkin out the website and trying to figure out who these guys are... and it's kinda grey... They are a 501(c)(3) corporation.
The basic thrust of the ad and website is this: You don't need consumer groups protecting you from food you eat, because you can do it yourself. They site some extreme examples such as a law that would require that candy-bar not be sold to children under 10.
But that's just the surface of where this all goes. More below the break...

Just start at ActivistCash and work your way down. What we're looking at is a corporate-backed effort to beat back the efforts of just about every activist group there is. The list is long I mean.. the Sierra Club is in there.. Greenpeace.. adbusters.. it goes on and on. They have a page for all of them with a negative review and information on their leaders and donors. They also have a special place for celebrity endorsements so they can link in the Hollywood liberal angle.
I haven't had the time to review it all, but I wanted to get this out there and exposed before it goes on too long. Perhaps this organization had existed for awhile, but I've never seen a tv commercial before and everyone know 'the soup nazi'. So they are for sure putting alot of money and effort into promoting their conservative agenda.
Go forth and report back my kossacks!
