With over
100,000 new voter registrations to process, the Clark County registrar is overwhelmed.
Today, on the final day for mail in registration (in person registration continues for 10 more days), several thousand new registrations were disqualified by the County registrar.
(The County registrar is a Democrat, so its not likely to be a Republican "dirty trick.")
Its unclear as of yet what criteria were used and how many of those thrown out were actual, valid registrations. (There is an on-going investigation of fraudulent reigstrations being filed by for-profit petition gathering companies.)
The Democratic Party has launched an effort to contact all those whose registrations were thrown out and to help them register in person.
