This American Life (on NPR/PRI) tonight was about the island nation of Nauru, the plight of Afghanistan's refugees there, and how the government bent over for the U.S. to, ermm, exploit back channel communications.
I don't have a lot of detail, but I do have a

How does the U.S. hope to win the war on terror if we are going to hike our leg up on anyone who has the temerity to give us some assistance in it?
