KARL ROVE TESTIFIES BEFORE GRAND JURY INVESTIGATING CIA LEAK... MORE
Will update as more details become known.
Update [2004-10-15 14:43:59 by thirdparty]:
Full story at ABC now up:
...Rove appeared before the federal grand jury investigating the leak of a CIA officer's name and testified for almost 2 and a half hours....
Rove declined to answer reporters' questions as he departed the federal courthouse and set off in a-non descript bronze colored midsize car. Rove was escorted out of the courthouse by two US Marshals and an unidentified man. Rove sat in the back seat of the car and immediately began making using his cell phone.
The AP is on it, too:
Rove spent more than two hours testifying before the panel, according to an administration official who spoke only on condition of anonymity because such proceedings are secret.
Rove has been interviewed at least once previously by investigators in the leak case, as have Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney, Secretary of State Colin Powell and other senior administration officials.
Note that this was in a courtroom, before a grand jury, under oath, not an informal "interview".
This should lead the newscasts tonight, and the papers tomorrow.

Kerry response (again from Noted Now):
SENIOR KERRY ADVISOR JOE LOCKHART RESPONDS WITH PAPER STATEMENT: "George Bush should direct Karl Rove and anyone else involved to go to the White House briefing room and come clean about their role in this insidious act. If the president sincerely wanted to get to the bottom of this potential crime, he'd stop the White House foot dragging and fully cooperate with this investigation."
