That former KGB agent who's now the head of the Russian federation, Vlady Putin. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, fresh from The Gaurdian (
http://www.guardian.co.uk/uselections2004/story/0,13918,1330503,00.html), Julian Borger and Suzanne Goldenberg report. The key statement: "Vladimir Putin waded into the American election campaign in support of George Bush yesterday, declaring that if the president lost, it would lead to the 'spread of terrorism' around the world." That's right, the man who is leading the charge to revitalize Communism in Russia is backing Bush. I thought the socialists were Kerry supporters!?! I can just hear the spin now, considering Safire, Hitchens and co. have been railing against Putin for months now, that is until election season. Now, he'll be their new poster boy with nothing but praise. Putin current rule makes the Patriot Act look like the Bill of Rights!
But beyond what I think, lets hear what the Russian Press have to say... oh, that's right, Putin's party runs the media in Russia once again, because the independent media couldn't be trusted to support his rule. Well, then let's ask the capitalists in Russia what they think... oh yeah, they've either been jailed (shame, shame Mr. Khodorkovski) or have pledged allegiance to Mr. Putin and his party. Well then I guess we'll just have to ask some of the members of the opposition parties in Russia's government... oh that's right, they've all been forced out by sham elections or strong media bias. Needless to say that I am profoundly happy to hear that Russia's one party (nearly revived Communistic)government is firmly in support of our single party government here in the good ole' USA.
Latest attacks by Bush include faulting Kerry for voting against Reagan's initiatives (Star Wars, etc.) that "won the COLD WAR". Well, Mr. President, maybe we should congratulate you for allowing Communism to flourish in these past 4 years. I hear China's economy is doing pretty well, and they're lending us close to $1 billion per day. I don't know if I should ask them for my job back, or just go live under Communist Rule so that I can take my family to the Doctors. That's my daily rant!
