As Coulter addressed a question about terrorism, she stopped mid-statement: "You take away the terrorism and liberals would hate..." at that Coulter gasped as she looked to her left, and began backing away from the podium. Two men ran by, on-stage, and each threw a pie at her. They were mobbed as they tried to exit the auditorium.

    The bum-rush, run-by technique is so amateurish. The proper way to pie a public official or celebrity is to dress up official-like, prentend you're supposed to be there. Hide the pie untill the proper moment (a paper plate w/ whipped cream or even shaving cream is all you need), then sneak up from behind and place the pie gently on the target's nose and press. Then you can start running. Or point and laugh and take your licks from security for maximum effect. Pie throwing is for stooges.

  The second pie thrower might have got him in the elbow after he (coulter) dodged into the shadows. When he comes back to the podium, he is wiping his elbow off with a cloth.

In all seriousness, though, I can't say I found this that funny...lobbing pies from the crowd? Sure. But running in someone's direction (or just approaching them) while he/she is up on a stage would pretty much freak most people out, I think.
