If you haven't seen it, and your feeling wonky, it is well worth your time.
Carla Robbins, Chief Diplomatic Correspondent for the Wall Street Journal, leads a charge against Bush that is fascinatingly fair, factually impermeable, and blissfully successful. The Kerry version of the panel discussion will be tomorrow. I wonder how he will fair.
Other commentators include:
Alexis Simendinger - White House Correspondent, National Journal (moderate)
Thomas Mann - Senior Fellow, Brookings Institution (right)
Moderated by: John Fortier - AEI Research Fellow
Keep in mind that this is in spite of the fact that the AEI is funded by the large corporate interests that can potentially benefit from four more years (Exxon Mobil, Merck, Ameritrade, Dell, Dow Chemical Company, CIGNA, etc...). And the AEI is the organization that supported the publication of "An End to Evil" by Richard Perle and David Frum.
These insiders say that Larry Thompson will likely succeed John Ashcroft.
Even Thomas Mann from the Brookings Institute says, "Cabinet posts are not important to [Bush]. Even the [Secretary of the] Treasury, which we have always thought of as central, has been relegated to the cheerleading squad."
