There's a question that's been rolling around the back of my head that I wanted to pose to some fellow Kossacks: If Kerry were to lock up the election early on (i.e. with solid wins in all of the big three), do you think the news would have a significant effect on turnout further West by discouraging Repubs and invigorating Dems?
I see two potential results of such an effect.
- Swings the Southwest to Kerry, resulting in an electoral college landslide.
- Helps out other Dems out west, including Salazar and particularly Knowles, and swings a bunch of the tight West Coast house races.
