Freepers Are Really Starting to Worry

Tue Oct 26, 2004 at 03:42:43 PM PDT

I went through the last few hours of Freeper posts (and now I need a shower.)

Anyway, the Al Qaqaa mess, the latest polls, and the news in general really has them in a funk.  The only thing holding the wheels on the wagon at the moment is the Gallup polls.

Here are a few choice quotes:

Things are already starting to explode.

Hang in there,..

But no matter what happens we always know that we play by the rules, fight fair and are the ones with the honor and intigrity that is sorely lacking on the left...

I don't know what the hell the President and his campaign are thinking!?!

Hopefully Bush has something.

Either Karl Rove is a genius or an idiot.

Rove, et al, better get it in gear.

Keep cool.

Please people, try to remain calm...have a little more faith!

The polls are being skewed you know with more women and Dems being polled. Trust Gallup.

I am so sick of the this election already.

Kerry appears to be promising more surprises before Tuesday.

Fox news has me infuriated, they are still headlining with Kerry's twisted argument...

Hope there is a counter to these October suprises...

Not good.

The thing that concerns me is that kerry's #s keep going up.

This is IMHO the big test for Rove et al. They need to come up big here.

The know they are about to lose even if they aren't yet talking about it out loud.

I always applaud those who can read the Freepers.  I don't have the stomach for it.  Good on you.
  •  Is This a Satire of dKos? (3.66 / 3)

What you have here sounds just like what people write on this blog, depending on the latest swing in the polls.

This aggression will not stand, man.

Though my mouth dropped about the "polls poll more Democrats" comment.  apparently they dont look at internals.
  •  LOL (none / 0)

When those disgusting Freepers get anxious, my day gets better.  I am a chronic worrier myself, however, reading this expunged a little of my daily quotient.  Indeed, I have a little pep in my step right now...

    GO KERRY!

Finally -- it is 2008. The national nightmare is almost over.

    Oh lord, this:

But no matter what happens we always know that we play by the rules, fight fair and are the ones with the honor and intigrity that is sorely lacking on the left...

...has got to be the funniest thing I've read all day.

    •  No kidding... (none / 0)

I had to literally, and consciously will my mouth closed after reading that because my jaw dropped in stunned disbelief.
      •  Yeah, really (none / 1)

That wingnut needs a reality check. Unlike the right, we would NEVER take quotes like "global test" and "sensitive war on terror" and "nuisance" out of context, we would never take a 12 year old vote against an appropriations bill (that was supported by Republicans) and say that our opponent was against the troops, we would never take a thirty-year-old quote from our opponent and pretend that is his current position, we would never question a combat veteran's war wounds and decorations.

If those freepers think they are paragons of integrity they have another thing coming. Even our biggest blunder, the CBS memo flap, was essentially true at its core.

hire 3,600 goons to attack voters in Republican precincts, try to disenfrachise tens of thousands of minority voters, or tear up 17,000 ballots in Nevada.  Good golly, Miss Molly, they are famously deluded.

Guess what. Kossacks continue to be very rude. I am for Obama, but I'm not a Kossack.

I guess first thing on the 3rd--after W gets whupped--they'll be saying, "Well, God works in mysterious ways."  Or they'll just give up on their fundie "Christianity."
    •  So many comments... (none / 0)

      1.  GREAT!  The more freepers who are busy praying on Election day, the less mischief that may be pulled.

      2.  Great schedule, but did you copy in God?

      3.  How many scheduled pray-ers are correct?  You may have the law of diminishing returns and not even know it.  What if God was free on a time that no one was scheduled, but at the time when you scheduled 8 he had a migraine and couldn't stand all the noise?

      4.  How are they to ensure that the scheduled pray-ers are actually praying during their time?  It's like any team effort at work or school, someone ALWAYS slacks off and hopes the rest of the team will cover for them.

      5.  Like I ask all athletes who point up after a big play or thank god for a win, how do you KNOW he is on your side?  What if he is really listening to the prayers of Kossacks?

      6.  What if Bush doesn't win?  Is it then God's fault?  Maybe it's Joe's fault for not praying hard enough.  Maybe it was a scheduling issue.

      7.  Absolutely follow the talking posts listed by Lily4Jesus... they mostly help out OUR guy.
        Let's pray
      8. for favor on our President.
      9. for the black church and the Jewish people to open their eyes
      10. for the church of Jesus Christ to raise up for righteousness.
      11. for the spirit of confusion to come upon the enemy
      12. for landslide victory
      13. against the spirit of ignorance
      14. against the spirit of untiamerican
      15. against voters fraud
      16. against any weapon form against our President and our country
  •  Perhaps (none / 1)

They should all sign up for fourteen hours of uninterrupted prayer all day on next Tuesday.  "I pray for our dear leader, for he knows not what he has done..."

  •  re:Please, Brother JeffLieber (4.00 / 2)

Take a few minutes to open your heart.  Go to Pray for George W. Bush or to Fast for George W. Bush.  You eat too much anyway, JeffLieber, and I worry for you.  God worries for you.  The President worries.  He furrows his brow deeply in worry over your binge eating.

Pray, Brother JeffLieber, on Acts 3:17: And now, brothers, I know that you did it in ignorance, just as your leaders also did.

Proverbs 1:22 wouldn't hurt, either: How long, foolish ones, will you love ignorance?
How long will you mockers enjoy mocking
    and you fools hate knowledge?

Meanwhile, Kossians, remember the Good Words of 1 Peter 2:15: For it is God's will that you, by doing good, silence the ignorance of foolish people.

I should mention that I'm a Christian.  My dad was a minister, and my wife plans to go to seminary.  But these freepers are misguided loons.

  •  More (none / 0)

More quotes please! I love these, but I will not go to those websites.
  •  Not yet they don't (none / 0)

This is what freepers look like when they know they're going to lose. They're just hand-wringing right now.

You'll know they've foreseen a Kerry victory when they start unleashing apocalyptic, bitter diatribes about being martyred to everything from Kerry, liberalism, Rove, and the cost of t.p. in America. Then things will get really interesting.

Time flies, whether you're having fun or not.

Cheating DEMs will stop at nothing.

    10/18/04 | Midnight_Train

We all know the Democrats will do whatever it takes to regain power. Like Hitlers' brownshirts, the Left will stop at nothing to see Kerry placed into power. Voter intimidation, organized propaganda, protests, vandalism, racism, theft, fraud, assault, and even acts of random gunfire have been the campaign tools of choice for Kerry.

Yet despite the Kerry campaign's organized assault on democracy, it looks as if Bush might be gaining some ground. And while this is a great thing, it doesn't provide as much comfort as one would expect. I ask you my friends, will Bush's margin of victory be enough to overcome the acts of voter fraud being committed by the Democrats? What percentage of the Democrat vote will be fraudulent? Is the Federal Election Commission up to the task?

Will the margin of victory be enough? How much does Bush need to win by, in order to cancel out the fraudulent votes cast by the Left?

    We should all be concerned.

    WHEEEEEEEE!!!

    •  Objectivity (none / 1)

I've tried to read liberal and conservative comments on blogs objectively to see if we sound as awful to them as they sound to us.  Perhaps more importantly, do we sound as awful to moderate passers-by as they do.

      Yes and no.

We have our shrill moments, we have our name calling or juvenile name switching, and we have our snarky comments.

However, that's where the similarities end.  I see more astute, well-thought-out comments, more linked citations, and an acceptance of contrary views.  People on Liberal blogs will debate their opposition, Freerepublic bans them instantly.

We don't have nearly the amount of throw-away one liners, nor hatred and violence spewing comments.  We would never have a death notice full of nasty comments about how we are glad that the person died.

Liberal blogs are not peppered with bouncy emoticons, misspellings, and comments in ALL CAPS.

I would also like to think that we would mea culpa if we found out we were wrong about something, and that we wouldn't blindly follow "our guys" if we learned they were fucking with us.
