While the story of missing explosives at the Al Qaa Qaa weapons dump has been (so to speak) blown open by video of cannisters with IAEA seals -- shot by an embedded crew from
KSTP of Minneapolis/St. Paul -- NPR, whether by design or by inadvertance, seems not to regards this as newsworthy.
A
segment on campaign advertisments (All Things Considered, Oct. 28) covers the new John Kerry piece excoriating Bush for incompetence in the failure to secure Al Qaa Qaa. The reporter (John McChesney) then cuts away for a brief pow wow with Brooks Jackson of
factcheck.org who informs us that "That's one where the facts are still unfolding ... people will make up their own minds, I guess, about how fair or unfair this is...."
