I made myself a promise on December 12, 2000. It was to do whatever I could to make sure that we defeat Bush II in 2004.
Since that time I have
- Participated in the largest anti-war rally in world history.
- Gave money and worked for Howard Dean.
- Worked for John Kerry
- Talked to my neighbors about John Kerry.
- Kept people's spirits up in September when the media was saying the election is over, Bush will win.
- Voted for John Kerry at 8:30 AM this morning.
- Drove people to the polls (lie: I leave in an hour to do that).
In 1,421 Days since I have found many people who felt the same way I did. The media has totally missed this story. The greatest pleasure tomorrow will be hearing the words "President-elect Kerry." Coming in second will be the pundits trying to explain how they missed this story. Or in the great 1984 tradition, rewriting history to say that they saw that Bush was in trouble.
