FLORIDA - my story from Gainesville

Not that the whole state trends this way but...

My daughter (11 going on a very cynical 38) and I visited the major intersections across town (Gainesville) to bring pizza and soda to the Kerry sign-waving crazies.  We gave out 240 pieces of pizza and 7 gallons of soda. By our count...

147 extremely enthusiastic Kerry sign-wavers
14 very morbid Bush supporters

(Interesting note: most of the Bush people were female)

Unofficial Election Results
Includes Early Voting (tm) but not absentee

Kerry - 57%
Bush - 42%
Nader - 0.51%

Castor - 60%
Martinez - 39%

33,634 of 142,358 voters cast their ballots early or absenteed.  There were lines at early voting every day.
