Republicans having to attack a man who lost an arm fighting Nazis. A man who, despite being looked upon by many as a potential traitor because of his ancestry, instead joined the Army and fought in one of the most highly decorated units in US Army History?.
And a Medal of Honor winner to boot.
Having grown up in Hawaii, I guess I have a soft spot for
Dan Inouye--He's a local boy made good in one of the most heroic stories from WWII. So I guess I get a little touchy when his heroism is called into question.
Sure he might not vote the way you want on any one paticular vote, but does he deserve his honor being called into question?

I'll give RedState credit that this was not their most full-throated character assassination, but it sticks in my craw nontheless.
But what does it say about the GOP's position on this war that they are having to attack men of this caliber to prop up their own policies?
