this has already been diaried, but was anyone else as bothered by this story as I was?
City Councilman Nelson Polite asked baker David Stoltzfus last month to remove the pictures. When Stoltzfus refused, Polite threatened to try to enact a city ordinance that would ban all political material from public places.
"I just feel that since it was a close election and the city's so divided, that we should have a healing period," Polite told the New Era of Lancaster on Friday.
As much as I'd LOVE to see the picture removed, what right does Polite have to ask much less demand the Baker remove the photo? This is still America. As a democrat, Polite's supposed to be on our side, defending the Constitution. And banning all political material from public places..what the hell was he thinking?
