Dear fellow bloggers,
10 years ago, at around 10 pm GMT, Kigali local time, two rockets hit the plane carrying the Rwandese president when it was approaching Kigali airoport. In the hours after the plane hit the ground the previously organized killings of Tutsis throughout Rwanda began. The Rwandese genocide that started that moment cost 800.000 lives in around 100 days.
There much to say about this genocide and what the experience of it means to Rwandans and what it should mean to us. But not now.
I would like to ask you to commemorate those who died, because others simply decided they had no right to live.
Thank you.
