Wanted: Setting up a blog for a candidate

I suggested blogging to a candidate running for office. She is interested but has never set one up. Neither have I. Given that it should be professional I wouldn't want to.

So....

  Try TypePad. It's super-easy, way better than BlogSpot, and is quite inexpensive. And they may still be running their promo where you get the first month free.

  I haven't tried TypePad, but I set up a test blog with comments in 30 minutes on the free web space provided by my ISP using Blogger and Haloscan.

  It basically requires FTP access to the page that will host the blog, and enough knowledge to cut and paste some code. VERY easy, although it does take a bit of playing around with it to get it just right.

    I'll forward the suggestion to her assistant. From what she said, she's not computer savvy, but I do know there is a web site that is in half completion so perhaps the person in charge of that could do it.
