The Queen of Sheba on CSpan

Sun Mar 21, 2004 at 10:22:51 AM PDT

here are some choice quotes
from david brooks on cspan wash journal
(note - The Queen has had his eyebrows freshly plucked.)

"the president spends too much time on foreign policy."

"compassionate conservatism" is back."

"kerry really is a child of privildge" (yo bossie!)

"its not about being born into these families. its about having the confidence that comes from being born into these families."

(note - i'm a terrible person; they play a clip of kerry's testimony & i laugh @ his posh accent...then brooks does the same. oy.)

brooks has the deep insight that suburbs are homogenous.

(note - people pay him for that!)

"this is a fundamentally religious country."

at first, he did think that scalia should recuse himself, but he was moved by scalia's argument.

(note - no one is asking him anything about the neocons. or his bad bloated writing.
this is boring.)

brooks felates mickey kaus on camera.

(note - i get the sense that he's disappointed that there aren't more challenging calls.
 well i am too.)

i thought he would come out with all kinds of new outrageous quotes, but no one really asked him anything.

  •  david brooks was DISSAPOINTED (none / 0)

ive been thinking about it all day.....i really think that david brooks was DISSAPOINTED that no one challenged him this morning!
like "at least when dean was in the race, i'd get 1000s of nasty emails....now no one even knows who i am!!!"

he seemed ready 'n' rarin for someone to bring up the neo-cons & his column about anti-semitism. but the closest it got was when a caller asked him if he had seen THE PASSION.

no one asked him about his writing or his thoughts on anything.

they just called & said "i like bush"....so all he could do was add his two feeble cents.
