That's reportedly the amount of taxpayers' money which Arnold misused on the special election in November 2005.
He raised massive amounts of money from special interests in order to...do the bidding of those special interests....called it reform...and forced Californians to spend...$50 million on special elections that were unnecessary and uncalled for.
Perhaps a surefire way of helping to "facilitate" the political demise of Arnold wuld be for Democrats to have, as one of their objectives over he 11 months, to ensure that Californians come to refer to him (unaffectionately) as "the $50 Million Man."
Everytime voters think of Arnold, it will help
remind them not only of the massive amounts of money he takes in from special interests, in exchange for doing their bidding, but of how he has misused taxpayer(and "misused" is the word that should always describe the political fiasco known as the California special election of 2005).
It will also remind people of how totally corrupt he and his administration have become.
If Democrats can successfully get average, everyday California citizens to refer to Arnold as "The $50 Million Man," Arnold will be guaranteed to lose next year. This will also help to defeat his fellow Republican friends and allies.
There should be signs saying "The $50 Million Man" at every event where he shows up (and at Democratic events, as well).
