Kerry's fundraising

Whoa.

I'm just sitting here reading the 4/26/04 edition of TIME magazine, minding my own business, wondering why today's TIME has next Monday's date on it, enjoying Joe Klein, when I come across the following sentence:

"Kerry's recent priorities have been fund raising (he brought in $13 million last week alone) ..."

Whoa.

    What is the point of that brief diary?
     That Kerry is raising competitive amounts of money?
       That it's his main priority right now (and that's a bad thing)?
          That it's his main priority (and that's a good thing)?

    or just...

    Whoa. John Kerry is focused on raising money and has raised an incredibly significant amount in a very short periods of time.

    Not quite clear on what I'd be showing you the love for, sweetie. Little help, here.
