A Truly Laughable Review of F911 **Plus Poll**

And I don't mean humorous.

The website About.com has people as the 'editor' ? of particular sections.  This guy is so far out to lunch, it does seem a little humorous to see how out of touch he is.  He might as well be a cheerleader.

Note the category it is included in.  Too clueless.

•  Unlikely it will do over $25 million

  It's only being released in about 800-900 theatres.  To do that much box office it would likely need to sell out most of its showings.  The expert consensus is on $10-15 million, with $15-20 million on the outside.

  800-900 theatres is small for a major release (the average being close to 3,000 these days), but excellent for an independent.  In contrast, Moore's previous film, Bowling for Columbine reached a hight of just 248 theatres.

  Still, it is nowhere near the release of The Passion of the Christ, also an independent release, which made it into over 3,000 theatres in its opening weekend.

    F911 will do at least $30M. Guaranteed. The numbers of theaters showing will increase over time once they see the lines around the block.

      I think F911 will do in the 50 to 60 million dollar range by the end of its run...with about 15 million the opening weekend.

      Here in Rochester, NY we have a group of 73 Democracy for America members going to the sold out opening night show at the independent Little Theatre. Should be lots of fun!

    F911 broke single-day box-office records at two NYC cinemas, beating out Men in Black in one theater and Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon at another.

    Early indications look positive.
