Washington State Governor Gregoire has formed an
Election Reform Task Force to address the problem in the 2004 election.
There's a public hearing this Thursday (Feb 24th) in Mount Vernon at 6:00pm. (See above link for a map.) I've been encouraging friends, family, and now every here, to show up and give testimony.

As expected, the Rossi (R) supporters are worked up about voter fraud and so forth. The Evergreen Freedom Foundation (EFF) has been stampeding the toadies with an
astroturf effort.

As with all elections, there's always going to be some goofiness with dead people voting, undervotes, overvotes, etc. But the giant elephant in the living room is electronic voting and counting (aka "blackbox voting").
