Dean told me he likes Edwards

Wed Jul 07, 2004 at 05:50:29 AM PDT

Last night I volunteered at a DFA2 fundraiser in LA.  After schmoozing with the VIPs, Gov. Dean came downstairs to thank the volunteers.  I had had my picture taken with him before so I was taking pictures of him with the other volunteers.  Then he asked if I wanted my picture taken and I said OK.

While someone else was trying to figure out my camera I said "The next time you see John Kerry, tell him he made a great choice" and he said "I think he made a great choice, too."

  •  Dean ... the real party animal (none / 1)

When I grow up, I hope I can be Dr Dean.

Maybe not run for President, but be such a friendly guy.  He really believes in advancing the party, and advancing what we stand for.

  •  Does this mean (none / 0)

that the "forcing a floor vote to give Dean the VP spot" idea is squelched once and for all?

And yes, I still wish he were the nominee.

Barack Obama will only become president if enough people pay attention, so pay attention, dammit!

    •  Draft (none / 0)

The guy behind the Draft Dean for VP "movement", Mike Meurer, was at the event last night.  I don't know if they spoke, though.
    •  I doubt it... (none / 1)

Eh, I could see them pushing through the vote just to reiterate the fact that Dean has a lot of support.

Not to aid Dean personally, but the causes and issues he espouses.

I'm not sure that's a bad thing, insofar as I supported Dean based on three things: A willingness to talk honestly about the war, a deep concern for the fiscal health of the country, and a realization that health care is becoming a bigger and bigger problem and will have to be addressed.

I think those issues need play, so I support bringing attention to them. (Not that I'm suggesting Kerry and Edwards don't care about them....)
