MSGOP acting up again - just ridiculous

Tue Aug 31, 2004 at 06:47:49 AM PDT

What kind of "news" operation has a question of the day with two answers that aren't even close to being opposites?

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/5810451/

"Did Rudy Giuliani's speech reassure you or move you to support the Bush-Cheney ticket?"

It did neither!  It made me concerned that our nation's leaders see our problems in black and white when they are really filled with shades of gray and none of them have either the intelligence or inclination to look past that in order to secure America.

So, in reality, it worried me and coalesced my support for the Kerry-Edwards ticket.

What on earth was this question writer thinking?

  •  It did neither. (none / 0)

I thought the Giuliani's speech was rambling, Kerry bashing, and fear mongering.  I was distressed by it, frankly.  He was better than McCain, however.  McCain's speech was lifeless.

The whole evening was in sharp contrast to the optimism of the opening night of the Democratic National Convention.

I honestly cannot see how this nation will swing to Bush after this convention.  We do need to get down to the business of addressing his failures, however.  Unfortunately, we have an uphill battle, because of corporate owned media.

    Al Gore for President!

  •  That is a dumb poll, like (none / 0)

How does Bush make you feel:
    (A) Great
    (B) Happy
    (C) Super
    (D) All of the above

It's like they assume everyone reading it is a Bush supporter or Republican, and also even if so incapable of deviating from supporting them.

Internet, n., A series of tubes invented by Al Gore; not a truck. "I mailed an Internet to my friend."

  •  So Giuliani said the very line that got Matthews (none / 0)

all fired up for the past few weeks- "Kerry declared himself the anti-war candidate"- which is a distortion of what he said on Hardball a while back.

Why did Matthews take the night off? He ripped Matthew Dowd about the same friggin thing, but when Giuliani says it there's no foul?

    ARRRRRRRRRRRGH!

  •  Head to Head Poll (none / 0)

There is a poll on the same page where Kerry is leading Bush 52-47.  How about we bump that number up a bit this morning?
  •  Whither the Democrats? (none / 0)

Where are all the Kerry surrogates on all the talking head shows?  Are they not invited?
