WTF: NYC Firefighters endorse Bush

Apparently, despite the fact that a disproportionately small amount of post-9/11 aid went to New York, and that the emergency responders are under-funded, Bush still got the endorsement of the NYC firefighters.

• How did this happen?
  
• What proportion of NYC firefighters does this union (of 8600 apparently) represent?
  
• How many NYC firefighters are out there who are pissed off by this endorsement and would be willing to say so publicly?
