NYT: WTF?

Thu Sep 23, 2004 at 08:34:57 AM PDT

Air America has been talking about this a bunch this morning:

NYTimes Online (registration req'd):
Both Sides' Commercials Create Brew of Negativity, at a Boil
By KATHARINE Q. SEELYE

Here's how it begins:

In a sharp escalation of the advertising wars, the Bush campaign on Wednesday ridiculed John Kerry in a new commercial that shows him windsurfing and literally blowing with the wind, while the Kerry campaign responded within hours with a commercial condemning President Bush as making light of the war in Iraq.

The Times's Campaign 2004 page, where one would access this story, has a link to the Bush "Windsurfing" ad, but no link to Kerry's "Juvenile" ad. That ad can easily be found on Kerry's website.

If the NY Times is doing a story about two ads, while do they only link to one?

Oh wait, liberal media, liberal media, liberal media, liberal media...

  •  Kit Seelye is a well known media whore for bush (none / 0)

go to daily howler and see the documentation of her discrace for making a mockery of our nation's public discourse
    •  Good to know, but... (none / 0)

I doubt that Seelye made the decision about what links to feature on the Times Campaign 2004 page.
      •  That paper is captured (none / 0)

9/11 effected the publisher in ways I don't yet understand.  I forget the asshole's name.

The nyt's is an utter disgrace.  Whitewater, the war, their nauseating "conservative" columnists.  Plus of course this whoring barking seal.

But even for them they've sunk so low in the last 2 years that something else is going on besides the rank republican whoring.  I think, but do not know, that 9/11 has something to do with it.
