Now we know why Bush waited four days before pledging a piddly $35 million (initially) and before issuing any statement of sympathy (not that he really had any, come on, these people are non-white Muslims, fer cryin' out loud).
[editor's note, by Unawen] Thanks to the Kossacks who pointed out that the victims in the Tsunami regions are a mix of Muslim, Buddhist and Hindi, and that Bush's original pledge was even stingier than I thought, at $15 million.
