I guess the poor fella doesn't have pictures this time. Does anyone doubt for a second that Sy Hersh would have received this treatment about Abu Ghraib had he not had photographic evidence? Speaking of which, Hersh a few months ago made allegations of child RAPE which have been completely bypassed by the SCLM. I actually think that the pictures of this were what made Congressmembers so ill-looking when they came out of that session back then. That's YOUR Democratic caucus sitting on this information, folks. It isn't right. Can we really make the Middle East any more angry? Aren't we polling less than 2% there? When it finally does come out, won't the cover up hurt us more than the act?
Here's a short summary:
In a written statement, Pentagon spokesman Lawrence DiRita said Iran's "apparent nuclear ambitions and its demonstrated support for terrorist organizations is a global challenge that deserves much more serious treatment than Seymour Hersh provides in The New Yorker article titled 'The Coming Wars.' "
"Mr. Hersh's article is so riddled with errors of fundamental fact that the credibility of his entire piece is destroyed."
By the way, I'm not sure how serious Hersh needs to get, or is that just me? Here is the whole story.
