I read the following article a few weeks ago but didn't have a Kos account. The US Army has decided to buy 300 million M-16 bullets from a manufacturer in Taiwan. I guess their other suppliers couldn't keep up with the demand. I don't recall the army running out of bullets in 2003 or 2004. So apparently they have enough for Afghanistan and Iraq. Obviously Iraq has taken a turn for the worse, so they'll need more bullets. But 300 million more? Hmmm. Maybe they need them somewhere else.
