on the Condi Rice nomination. He's way too conservative for me, but it was a good move on his part and I think he deserves some positive reinforcement. Here's his address for messages

It can be short and sweet but I think when anyone (especially one who is usually considered part of the DLC) does the right thing, I think they need to be stroked. Here's my letter:
Dear Senator Bayh,
I am writing to thank you for voting NO on the Condi Rice appointment. Those of us out here in the trenches, the base of the democratic party, appreciate it when our leaders reflect our values.
Here's another letter I'm sending Bayh along with my senators. I feel this is even more important than Rice, the Gonzalez nomination. I am of the belief that "saving our bullets" for lifetime nominations to the supreme court is abdicating responsibility. It is their moral duty to stop Gonzalez, Bush has dragged this country into the gutter so many times it's desensitized our elected officials... if you asked anyone 5 years ago if they would support a man who legalized torture and called the Geneva Convention "quaint" they would have laughed at you. The democrats need to have a reality check, and start kicking some ass and unfortunately it's our job to insist upon it.
here's that letter:
Dear Senator (fill in the blank)
Please consider filibustering the Gonzalez nomination, to legitimize the man who made torture legal would let the whole world think the democrats must agree with this immoral and outrageous situation. Bush is a dangerous man and we need good people like you bringing him back to reality. We're counting on you!
Sincerely,
