This is what happens when we-- yes, we-- deny them bipartisan cover for their bad ideas. If you are a constituent of Snowe, Chafee, Voinovich, McCain or even Graham, you might consider thanking them. (Doesn't mean you have to vote for them, though you might tell Chafee he's in the wrong party.)
By the way, anyone know where Chuck Hagel stands on these issues? He's not really a moderate (no more than Graham has been) but he's not a robot either.
