But Mr Rumsfeld said steps had been taken to prevent a recurrence of such abuses.
Rumsfeld: Abu Ghraib was something I couldn't possibly do anything about from Washington, but I'm doing something about it from Washington anyway!
A question for Mr. Rumsfeld: if you were so powerless and/or ignorant of what was happening at Abu Ghraib to do anything about it, how can you expect to be taken seriously when you say that it won't happen again?
