The Nuclear Option is up for a vote this week. Now is the time to hit, and hit hard.
The Plymouth Massachusetts MoveOn chapter has come up with an excellent idea: a "Millibuster" - a 24 hour virtual fillibuster discussing what the nuclear option means. They're asking for people to contribute 250-ish word speeches to be read by participants (which will hopefully include some elected representatives from around the country).
Come one Kossacks! Let the world know your opinion of the Nuclear Option. Make your speech inspiring, witty, or just plain pissed, but whatever you do, don't be silent.
From the idea's progenitor:
I need 8640 voices, for sixty seconds each, to create a 24-hour virtual filibuster. You do have sixty seconds worth of outrage, simmering in you, don't you? Sixty seconds focused on the so-called nuclear option. Or as the President knows it, the 'nucular' option. Get in line: I need 8640 sixty-second speeches (about 250 words each)...
Write your entry today, and help prevent the Senate majority from destroying the independent judiciary, then add it to the list here:

If you want to be judged according the laws of this country instead of some whacko's theocratic wet dream, speak out!
