I would appreciate reading any comments -- any of you out there in Internetsland have -- about how the various U.S. college and university schools of journalism are treating this whole, slow-motion, train wreck going on with American journalism and reporting.
In the very recent (and recommended) diary by Vermont Buffalo re: Tony Blair's apparent, prime-time squashing last night, the point is made about the real questions being asked by real U.K. journalists of the candidates for the upcoming Parlaimentary elections.
That got me to thinking about, not only the infuriatingly lame pablum that passes for "journalism" in the U.S. today, but, WHAT THE HELL ARE THEY TEACHING THEM(???!!!) in journalism schools around America these days???
Now I realize that the frou-frous in the White House Heathers Corp (Guckert notwithstanding) have likely been out of school for anywhere from 5-25 (+/-) years, but I still wonder what Professors have to say and are teaching the up-and-coming generation of Bubble Heads and GOP Stenofools.
