Would we be able to get all fifty states to pass our Constitution if we had to vote today?
I think that it would not pass.
What would we have to do to our present Constitution in order to get all fifty states to approve it?
Would the Bill of Rights survive?
Would women still have the right to vote?
Would we eliminate the electoral vote system?
Would we still have the same criteria for allocating Representatives and Senators to the various states?
Would we have two houses of congress?
How would judges be appointed?
Would we switch to a parlimentary form of government?
What would we do about the press?
What role would business play in the Constitution? Would it have its own branch of Government? Would it be given the right to vote?
I think that we are so divided that we would not be able to pass our current Constitution, and I think that we could not create a useful new one.
